MEPA appoints Jonathon Shaw as Director of Operations

For Immediate Release, Chris Tomsa

Furthering our commitment to building a world-class performance arts organization, the Mid East Performance Association is pleased to introduce Jonathon Shaw as Director of Operations.

In response to our continued growth and a need for administrative realignment, MEPA members in attendance at our annual membership meeting this summer approved the creation of a new position, Director of Operations. The MEPA board recently appointed Jonathon Shaw into this role for the upcoming 2022 season.

Jonathon will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations of the organization to provide staff leadership, executing Board approved priorities and policies. He will have overall responsibility for the events and operations management of MEPA necessary to fulfill our mission, to achieve Board approved outcomes, to promote MEPA, and to serve the needs of our performing ensembles. In short, he will lead the administrative aspects of the MEPA organization.

Jonathon is a Midwest based performing arts event management specialist. He's a member of the Event Team for Bands of America and Music For All, traveling around the country to help run BOA Regional Championships, Grand National Championship, and the Music For All National Festival. He also volunteers his time for WGI Contests, and has been a part of the administrative team for the Mid East Performance Association for the last two seasons as a Flow Manager and Contest Administrator.

A long-time real estate agent, Jonathon is a consistent Top Producing Rental Agent in the Chicago Association of Realtors. He’s been with Coldwell Banker Realty since 2010 and has closed nearly 1,100 transactions in that time.

Please welcome Jonathon!
