Need Some Resume Stuffing Experience?

With more than 100 performing groups, 10 events, and thousands of spectators, there’s a lot to do!

We’re looking for people who can work 10-15 hours per week on a flexible schedule with most of that time confined to weekends. (You know…since shows are on weekends.) We’ll make sure you get plenty of great resume-stuffing opportunities, hours will count as service hours for college, and we’ll pay your mileage to and from shows. And yes, lots of free food.

Marketing, Merchandise, & Public Relations Internship

Dates: Late January – the beginning of April, 2017

The 30,000-Foot View: MEPA is all about creating opportunities that are life-changing and memorable. We want spectators, performers, and directors to know that they’re absolutely, completely, 100% awesome! We’re looking for an intern that can help us with that mission. You will help with merchandise, social media, promotion, and anything else related to the MEPA contest experience. Your job is to make people smile!

You Will:

  • Work with the MEPA board of directors and staff on development projects including merchandise design/sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Work with MEPA staff to help organize and execute weekend shows and events.
  • Create programs, post on social media, interview people, take pictures, laugh with performers, give out some hugs, tell people how awesome they are, and capture stories we wouldn’t otherwise hear about.

 You Must:

  • Be 18 or older by December 1.
  • Have a clean background that allows you to work with minors.
  • Be a leader. You’re not the type to wait for somebody to tell you what to do.
  • LOVE to organize. The idea of schedules, graphs, and numbers doesn’t scare you.
  • LOVE (and we mean love) social media.
  • Outgoing—you can talk to ANYBODY and love every minute of it.
  • Be an excellent writer.
  • Be proficient in common workplace/productivity applications (Google Apps, Dropbox, Office, etc.).
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Attend all shows (We won’t be mad if you miss one, though.)
